Type the words shown on screen, with a space after each word. The timer starts with your first keystroke and the run ends automatically. Press Tab or Escape to restart with new words.
Field test
Ribbon: one line, still cursor — every letter you type is shown. Block: three scrolling lines; letters typed past the end of a word turn the word red instead of printing, so nothing re-wraps while you type. Both are scored the same.
Accuracy is scored on the text you leave behind, not on every keypress, so a typo you fix before moving on costs you nothing.
Pasting and autocomplete are blocked and won’t rank.
Adjusted WPM counts correctly typed words, plus the letters you have right in your final unfinished word (characters ÷ 5 per minute).
During the run, the on-screen Restart control — or Tab / Esc — starts over with fresh words.
